My name is Feryal and I’m a passionate licensed dietitian where I believe health is the best investment that an individual can make. I strongly disagree with labelling food as ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’ instead I advocate and emphasize balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Nutrition trends, facts, and knowledge are wandering social media and websites some are like a trap for the reader by misleading and giving false hopes, unrealistic expectations, and disappointing results. The widespread misconceptions and ‘promising’ results that are being sold to people giving them undesired side effects are causing confusion among readers and consumers.

The Balanced Diet was born out of this mess, where I embrace two things, balance in the meals – nutrient-dense meals with sweet indulgences from time to time and nutrition education because knowledge is power, and my aim is to deliver complex science-based nutrition information in a simple and easy-to-understand concept in an approachable way because it is a right for everyone to have access to credible non-misleading information.
